House removals

House removals in Wimbledon

Full home moves across SW19 and SW20 — surveyed, protected, and carried by one crew from the first box to the last.

A house move is only as good as the plan behind it. We start by understanding the house you’re leaving and the one you’re heading to — the access, the awkward pieces, the parking — and build the day around the real thing, not a rough guess.

What a home move with us looks like

First a survey, in person or by video, so we know what’s actually going and how it gets out and in. Then a written quote you can read and understand. On the day, one team turns up with proper blankets, covers and boxes, protects the floors and doorways, wraps and loads carefully, and reassembles everything in the right room at the other end. Beds rebuilt, wardrobes back together, the kettle findable. It’s meant to feel unremarkable — which, on moving day, is the whole point.

Built for Wimbledon’s houses

The homes here aren’t uniform and the moves shouldn’t be either. A Village townhouse with a twisting staircase needs a different approach from a Wimbledon Park mansion flat with a booked lift, or a Raynes Park semi with a tight side return. We match the crew and the vehicle to the property, and where a conservation lane won’t take a big lorry we shuttle with a smaller van rather than block the street.

Packing, if you’d like it

You can pack yourself, hand us the breakables only, or have us do the lot with a labelled inventory so nothing goes missing. Fragiles — glassware, artwork, that inherited dinner service — get proper materials and proper care. There’s more on the packing section, and if you need somewhere to put things for a while, storage folds into the same booking.

Fully insured, clearly quoted

Every move is insured and we confirm the cover in writing with your quote. If you’re moving something unusually valuable, tell us and we’ll make sure it’s handled and covered properly. No prices guessed over the phone, no surprises on the day — just a clear plan and a clear number.

FAQ

House removals — common questions

Can’t see yours? Ask us directly — we answer plainly, no sales script.

Do you handle the whole house move, or just the driving?

The whole thing if you want it — survey, packing, dismantling furniture, loading, the move itself, reassembly and unpacking. Or just the parts you can’t do yourself. It’s your call and we’ll quote it either way.

What if my new place isn’t ready and there’s a gap?

That’s common in a chain. We can store your things securely and bring them on when completion lands, with the same team at both ends so nothing gets lost in a handover.

Can you move a large or listed period home?

Yes. Bigger Village and Wimbledon Park houses are our bread and butter. We plan the staircase, the doorways and the access, protect original floors and paintwork, and take the time these homes need rather than rushing.
